Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2013!!
Faux Fur is a trend this 2012 season…but actually it has never gone out of trend
Staying elegant and stylish even when it’s getting cold outside!!
Fur Vest is a perfect choice in this case, its versatile and elegant, it’s not too much and you can create absolutely various looks depends on your style. Oh..please don’t forget..we are talking about Faux Fur!
splendid mix by Olivia Palermo: chiffon blouse and fur vest
Laetitia Casta in white fur
to give a final touch I’d prefer a Fur Vest belted..

…this w.end in Milan.. of course thoughts on elegance after it…so I was just wondering how is it possible, that in one of the world’s fashion capital there are so few!..really few women who are elegant. Don’t get me wrong please, there are lot’s of women dressed smart, stylish, they are trendy with taste..thus doesn’t mean they are elegant!
So I’d say, that my vision of elegance is first of all simplicity with a feminine touch of course; it’s when you are dressed with style, your personal style, knowing what fits you well and not to show the latest trend, even if it’s ugly on you and maybe have bad fitting?!
Yes, we should create and adapt innovative style/way of living, but with respect to tradition. Being honest with all these boyish attitude.. boyfriend pant, mens details…oversized t-shirt, that I’ve borrowed when my boyfriend was sleeping..it’s definitely fun & comfy…but we are loosing feminility, we are loosing a sense of being sophisticated and elegant. We are trying to invent smth. new all the time, but the point is..everything has been already done! So to achieve this “new” style we are going to excess! Too much of everything, details, layers, accessories…it’s just overloaded… we are overloaded! You can’t recognize a person behind her dress.
To my opinion it must be the opposite. Simple design/cut + good quality fabrics, that’s what we are missing. Then you (customer) have a total freedom to accessorise your piece by putting your personality inside of the garment. that should be the final touch!
Thanks God of Fashion ( if the one exist
) we still have designers, fashion houses, people who believe in elegance. Nowaday elegance with respect to tradition.
I love new look of Saint Laurent this year. It’s absolutely amazing and so elegant
and a simplicity of elegance by Chloé?
Donna Karan Resort 2013 is a Celebration of Elegance and Feminility

FNO!! For those who are not familiar with Fashion’s Night Out, it’s annual event promoted globally (just different dates for different cities, states) created to give faith to the retail industry during the economic decline. It’s not all about Fashion&Glam, but some of the money you spend goes for charity, towards good causes, for example such as Great Japan Earthquake and the one in Emilia Romania in Northern Italy, Children Without Borders and many others.
Fashion’s Night Out was created by Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and CFDA’s President, Diane von Furstenburg already 4 years ago.
Beauty&Fashion will save the world, I do truly believe in that and FNO is really a great initiative!
So I’ll just make a quick overview of FNO in Milan.
Let’s say, that the main places on my list holds Hermes, Chanel and Lanvin. For the FNO in Milan Chanel launched it’s new perfume “Coco Noir”,
Lanvin – Alber Elbaz’s made sketches for special FNO t-shirts and a collaboration with Ladurèe, absolutely lovely bubble gum-flavored macarons inside of Ladurée boxes. I felt like Marie Antoniette!! oh I love them! http://www.laduree.fr/
and can’t forget about magic atmosphere inside of Hermes shop, cocktail and an orange rose for you! and a variety of splendid Hermes bracelets.
Also I liked the limited edition by Lavazza! You know how good italian coffee is?? Ohh…if not! you should definitely come to Italy
So for the FNO Lavazza was signed by Marni, Cavalli, Missoni, Etro, Versace, Moschino.
Sermonetta Gloves in it’s flagship store in Via Spiga 46 offered a “degustazione con i guanti” which means “tasting with gloves” – buy a pair of long silk gloves and feeling like Audrey! and having a glass of vine from de La Sansonina, besides that inside of the shop get your nails done..color can match your new gloves!
And so many others with dj set, special guests and limited edition created especially for FNO….should write a book to list all the events! so just don’t miss FNO 2012 and have fun!!
Just one sincere advice!! wear comfortable shoes (even simple flats or havaianas swarovski collection
can be ok) please no high heels, if no you’ll be walking barefoot at the end of the night and it’s not the best choice
Ohh!! it sounds absolutely amazing only whispering “Haute Couture”! “Haute” means elegant or high!
And this season you could feel this “Haute” exclusivity in the air, it was like 5 days of an unforgettable, magnificient fairytale in Paris. Feeling like a modern Cinderella.. I’d say: “Sorry…I’ve just lost my shoe…can we pleaseeeee come back!!
“
So let’s start from the debut of Raf Simons, who reworked Dior’s DNA.
Isn’t it splendid “New Look” dresses, red full skirted coat was absolutely fantastic. It wasn’t dramatically exaggerated, but instead elegant and clean, fresh and sophisticated! Just modern elegance!
Chanel, Chanel and once again Chanel – it’s a synonym of modern elegance! Color palette of black, silver, gray and light pink; perfect coordination with accessory line, long silhouettes, light blouses.
And it is so romantic and vintage and thousand times elegant!
Giambattista Valli is a real “Haute” fairytale!! It’s a dream! Ruffles, butterflies, unexpected volumes, elegant florals! It takes your breath away!
Valentino land, with amazing chiffon and lace, fluid silky touch with deep blue tones. Minimalism but extremely feminine and sophisticated.
Armani Privé – classy and elegant. Gorgeous and matching pastels;dresses in lavender and mauve organza, volumed trousers. So simple & beautiful.
Peter Philips! Thanks for this amazing sparkling fairytale by Chanel ♥
Today I’d like to share with you my thoughts about Marilyn, that’s right Marilyn Monroe, who is one of the greatest icons of the 20th century. Just recently I watched „My week with Marilyn“ – the story of filming of “The Prince and the Showgirl” and it was like a lesson of fashion history….a glance back at 50s.
As Chanel said “Fashion changes, style remains” – Marilyn’s wardrobe in the film to my mind is still looks perfect for nowadays.
Elegance and simplicity are the keywords.
Jill Taylor, the film’s costume designer, the wardrobe she designed for Michelle Williams (staring Monroe) was based just on the pictures of Marilyn from that period, when she was only 30. What impressed me the most is that nothing changes since then, we still in love with creamy trench, dresses with sweetheart necklines, of course pencil skirts with silk blouses or matching sweaters; halter neck dresses, peep-toe high heeled shoes in cream, elegant head-scarves; the mix of grey, white, beige and black are still actual.

If by chance you are in Italy, just go to the splendid Florence to visit the exhibition dedicated to Marilyn at Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, no rush it will be open till 28th of January 2013
